Carpentry

I have been a carpenter for 25 years in the Bay Area. I started out working with my father, Kelley Hale, who was an architect-builder. Indeed, we continue to collaborate on projects now.

Some of my favorite parts of my work are incorporating metal into projects, building custom gates and installing custom cabinetry built-ins.

Construction

I do large and small projects and can manage and source sub-contractors for electrical, plumbing, drywall or painting.

One of the things I enjoy most about construction is collaborating with my customers to find the right design that works with their tastes and budget. A home is never done but we can get closer to making where you live beautiful and functional.

Doors and Windows

This is my specialty and converges with my passion for making homes more energy efficient. Whether you need restoration of an existing window or door; or prefer to upgrade with new materials, we can create solutions for any and all of your home’s thresholds.

Decks, Railings, Fences

During the pandemic many of us began restoring and updating our outdoor spaces. Bay Area homes tend to have a small square footage and creating a beautiful and useful outdoor area is one way to get creative with your space. I can install decks, pergolas, outdoor kitchens, patios and catios. I have even made a pigeon aviary!

Minor Welding

Welding is sometimes necessary for working with wood when wanting to join, create longevity or stylize a project. Wood and metal work well together and can add practical features as well as artistic flare and texture.
